Description

Peppermint is certainly the richest mint in essential oils. It has calming and analgesic properties when rubbed into painful areas. It stimulates mental and brain functions, and has an effect on the solar plexus.

Applications

 

Headaches: Soothes headaches (except those due to hypertension) when applied to the temples. Dilute to 10% in oil or alcohol.

Digestion: Dilute to 10% in oil or alcohol and.rub into stomach area.

Fainting: Use as an inhalation.

Bad breath: Rub 1 to 2 drops into the gums.

 

Peppermint essential oil is not recommended for use on babies and young children.
