The Rose Croix Enlightenment
This symbol was created by A.M.O.R.C. in 1998, using a drawing produced in 1983 by Francois Merintier for the Salons of the Rose Croix taking place in Paris.
It is set inside a mandorla, which is derived from the Italian word meaning “almond”, a fruit symbolising the immortal essence of humankind. The mandorla is a geometrical figure drawn using two circles, and traditionally represents the unification of the macrocosmos, of Heaven and Earth, the point at which two worlds encounter one another, join together, and unite. It is therefore the symbol of both the passage to another world, and of the Unity which every human being discogresses towards through his earthly experiences until he discovers , deep within himself, the divinity which he forms a part of,
In the centre of the mandorla, the winged Rose Cross springing from the cup represents the uplifting of the conscience under the impetus of the soul. The Dove represents the Cosmic Consciouness descending towards the rose of the soul :the person then experiences the Rose Croix Enlightenment.
