Le nay, a reed flute, has been used in the Near-East since antiquity, and was already played by the Egyptians 3 thousand years BC. It has become one of traditional Arab music’s loveliest instruments and is played solo or to accompany soufi songs. Bashir Abdel Al’s magic can be felt from the very first note.
